Why we built Stethora.

Stethora's mission is a safe, secure place in the home for convenient, affordable, and comprehensive healthcare.

The device records when each compartment opens and closes. The care team sees the log between visits.

The name Stethora comes from the stethoscope and Pandora's Box.

The team

  • Headshot of Mahdiul Chowdhury

    Mahdiul Chowdhury

    CEO & CTO

Mahdiul is an engineer with a strong foundation in robotics and embedded software. His career has centered on unmanned robotics, where he worked on advanced, mission-critical systems, and on founding and building an early-stage startup, where he led product development and technical strategy from the ground up. Mahdiul combines deep technical expertise with a focus on innovation, reliability, and scalability, a foundation he now brings to Stethora, where he leads efforts to apply cutting-edge AI to real-world data challenges in healthcare.

  • Headshot of Kevin Lee, MD

    Kevin Lee, MD

    CMO

Dr. Kevin Lee attended the University of Michigan Medical school and trained at Dartmouth, Wayne State and the University of Toronto. Dr. Lee has practiced as a board-certified neurosurgeon for over twenty years specializing in minimally invasive pain management techniques and functional neurosurgery.

He and his wife, an anesthesiologist, spent their careers monitoring vital signs and securing powerful medications in the operating room, and they asked why that level of care stopped at the hospital door.

For two decades they built prototypes with boxes, sensors, and communication devices. Along the way they partnered with Dave Riemer, who has manufactured medication boxes for over 20 years through Riemer Systems. Robotics engineer Mahdiul Chowdhury and engineer and business consultant Lydia Lee, Dr. Lee's daughter, complete the team.

With two patents and several prototypes behind us, Stethora's mission is simple: a safe, secure place in the home for convenient, affordable, and comprehensive healthcare.

  • Headshot of Dave Riemer

    Dave Riemer

    COO

Dave is an engineering graduate from The Milwaukee School of Engineering. With more than 30 years of experience in engineering, entrepreneurship, and healthcare product development, Dave Riemer is the founder of Riemer Systems, a healthcare product company he established 25 years ago that continues to serve the hospital and healthcare industry today.

A holder of two patents, his innovations include the ClearView Lock Box for hospital anesthesia carts and a patented Home Health Station that combines secure medication storage in the home with real-time physiological monitoring and remote communication with healthcare providers.

As one of the founders of Stethora, he is building on decades of healthcare innovation to advance connected, home-based patient care through integrated medication security and remote health monitoring technology.
